If you’re looking to subdivide, the first step is to contact a surveyor. Your surveyor will give you an idea about what’s involved in subdividing your property and then you’re in a good position to speak to a solicitor to get the legalities in place.

Whether you’re a surveyor or looking to subdivide, you’ll need to get in touch with your solicitor as a next step. 

Our role in the subdivision of your property is to prepare the legal documents and instruments which are registered on the property’s title. Instruments that are commonly registered on the title of a property may include easements, consent notices, land covenants, etc.

Once all the documentation is signed, our role is to submit the documentation to Land Information New Zealand for the new titles to be issued.
